Please note, this is the finale to this story. I had a lot of fun writing about the first part, but now things get serious. It's also kind of a scary story, so be careful before reading!
The journey to get back to town started shortly after the girls left the caves. The days became warmer, and the nights grew longer. Several night fell since they had left the caves, and as the girls walked, the air grew colder.
No one spoke much during the journey. It was just short enough for Merida to be very tired, but long enough to allow her to remember what happened at the caves, and in the wyvern, and in the world outside.
